DevOps Engineer

Position Summary:

Growers is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to join the Seattle team developing applications that provide farms with data-driven recommendations and improvements. As a trusted team member, the DevOps Engineer will work closely with software and quality engineers to architect and implement infrastructure for continuous development to production deployment.

As a DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the implementation of cloud-based architecture
  • Building and maintaining continuous integration and delivery pipelines
  • Providing technical leadership in infrastructure architecture
  • Ensuring high security and high availability for mission critical systems and processes
  • Fostering an environment of continuous improvement


We believe you need to have the following experience to be qualified:

  • 4+ years of software development support experience
  • Comfortable with Azure and AWS APIs, command line, and automation
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Knowledge of at least one development language, such as Python or GoLang
  • Strong networking skills
  • Experience building out scalable architecture with team input
  • Ability to demonstrate hands-on experience in implementing best practices, including infrastructure hardening, centralized logging
  • Strong sense of ownership and the ability to work with a limited set of requirements
  • Excellent problem solving and influencing skills


If you have these skills it’s definitely a plus:

  • Working knowledge of the following technologies: Jenkins, GitHub/Gitlab, serverless architecture, alerting such as Grafana & Prometheus
  • Familiarity with SQL, spatial SQL, and noSQL databases at scale
  • Background in GIS or Geospatial technologies
  • Working knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts
